We enjoy lovely views as we head from Invergordon cruise port towards Beauly, with a quick stop to meet the Heilan Coos (Highland Cattle) at Robertson’s Farm. A quick visit to Beauly Priory, and then over the hill to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.
You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy exploring this fascinating landmark whilst admiring the unrivaled views of Loch Ness. We then pass through Old Inverness, stopping to enjoy the river and more, before heading for Cawdor Castle & Gardens and the 4000-year-old Clava Cairns.
Our final destination is Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last ever battle fought on British soil and where the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion came to its tragic end.

The Picts, known as ‘Picti’ by the Romans, meaning ‘Painted Ones’ in Latin, these northern tribes constituted the largest kingdom in Dark Age Scotland.
We’re off to explore the Pictish sites and stones at Nigg, Shandwick and Hilton of Cadboll. Look out for random mermaids!! Let’s meet a Pictish Queen in Portmahomack, before heading out to see Tarbat Ness lighthouse.
We’ll drive around the Dornoch Firth to Dunrobin Castle, maybe enjoy a quick game of croquet in the gardens before heading to the tasting rooms at Glenmorangie Distillery. We’ll head over The Struie on our drive back to your ship, enjoying spectacular views looking back over The Dornoch Firth.
