We head out of Inverness along The Great Glen heading for Loch Ness. After a brief stop at Dochgarroch we drive alongside Loch Ness to The Loch Ness Centre at Drumnadrochit. Here we will take a walk through 500 million years of history to explore the myths of the loch.
We can then jump aboard DeepScan, The Loch Ness Project Research Vessel for a one hour cruise on the loch, or immerse ourselves in Jacobite history at Urquhart Castle.
On along the lochside to Fort Augustus at the far end of Loch Ness. We can take a fun wander along the canal-side here enjoying various yachts and other boats negotiating the lock system as the canal climbs up from Loch Ness.
From here we begin our journey back towards Inverness along the quiet and relatively unexplored south side of Loch Ness. Keep your eyes on the loch though…. You never know when Nessie might make an appearance!!
Suitable for up to seven people, travelling in our comfortable premium vehicle, this tour takes approximately 8 or 9 hours. Pick up (and drop off) will be from your accommodation; anywhere within 50km of Inverness. The tour costs £680 (including all taxes) for the day. Please note that entry to The Loch Ness Centre are included but fees for the Loch Ness cruise or Urquhart Castle will be in addition.
