This lovely route will provide many opportunities for impromptu diversions along dramatic little back roads. Enjoy a walk across the suspension bridge at Corrieshalloch Gorge.
We can visit some beautiful wee villages like Badachro and Poolewe, and take stunning beach walks at Red Point, Big Sand or Mellon Udrigle.
The view through Glen Docherty to Loch Maree and Slioch is iconic. Gairloch Musuem, located within a converted nuclear bunker with galleries showcasing the history, culture and natural heritage of this beautiful area of the North West Highlands. The famous Inverewe Garden showcases rare species thriving where the effect of the Gulf Stream meets the Scottish Highlands.
A driving adventure across Scotland’s wild Northern Highlands from West coast to East coast and back again.
We’ll head east to the fairy tale Dunrobin Castle via Lairg and Loch Shin. Enjoy exploring this magnificent castle, and maybe even a game of croquet in the gardens before heading for a walk along the beautiful beach at Dornoch.
Reward yourself with a dram or two at The Glenmorangie Distillery tasting rooms; distillery tours are also available here and at the nearby Balblair Distillery (must be booked in advance).
We’ll return west via Bonar Bridge with views of Carbisdale Castle and the Dornoch Firth in plenty of time for re-embarkation.
